I'm thinking of moving out this summer and gettting a place of my own once i finish school. I wonder, to all those life people out there, if I work full time, will I have enough money for rent, food and be able to save for a two month teaching trip for China next spring?

Well, it really depends on your income versus debt. ratio. If you make minimum wage, live on your own, have a computer, television, car, go out to eat periodically.....then I'm thinking you're going to be lucky if you can make the rent every month!!! But....if you find a place where the rent is really reasonable, plan on picking up a second part time job, keep your expenses to cash-only purchases and start a travel savings account, then you just might be able to pull it off! Good luck!

You need to plan by creating a budget - figure out how much money is coming in, how much is going out, research how much your trip will cost and as simple as 1, 2, 3, you'll know.

There's no way anyone can tell you a yes or no answer without doing the math.
