I also have oily skin, I put moisturizer on before my foundation powder, but my face always gets shiny shortly after, is there any moisturizers that may reduce this?

Eyeliner: (depending on what you are using . . .)
Liquid: Close the eye you are applying the liner to and keep it closed, use your non-dominant hand to lift the brow. Start at the inside corner and extend a line as close to the lash line as possible. (This stuff is pretty tricky and not very forgiving.) You can use more pressure for a thicker line at the end. I also extend the line a bit and slant it upwards for hte "cat-eye" look.
Pencil - Basically the same, but soften the line with a clean Q-Tip to get rid of excess and to make it look more "natural." You could also try dusting some loose powder over your eyelid for "sticking power."
Shadow - Again, the technique is the same. My personal favorite because it is more forgiving and doesn't smudge like pencils usually do - plus all you need is a liner brush and you can use any of your own shadows. Get the brush wet if you want something more dramatic.
Moisturizer:
As a fellow oily skin member, I recommend that you only use moisturizer where you need it. I do not put any on my nose area, forehead or chin. But do not confuse moisturizer for sunblock. You can buy sunblock separately (try Clinique) and you should use it everyday on your face and neck.
If you really must have a combo moisturizer and sunblock, there are matting powders or mattifying gels you can use under your foundation. There is one from Lancome I hear works really well, but it's a bit pricey. A good Moisturizer for classic combination skin that I used to have. . . Biore has one in their Pore Minimizing line that works really well.

Always, Always apply moisturizer before you put on make up. I have been using Oil Of Olay Sensitive Skin (no fragrance and its also oil free) moisturizer with SPF 15 for about 7 years now (I am 23). I love it! It's the only one I would recommend because it doesn't clog your pores. My roomate wears Neutrogena Moisturizer but personally for me it smells a little funny.
The oil of Olay will cost you about $8-9 at a Wallmart but the bottle lasts for like 4-5 months.
In regards to eyeliner, I was also really bad until my friend gave me this tip* put your index finger (with the hand you are not holding the pencil) on the end of your eye (outside corner)...than now pull your finger holding down to the skin outwards(away from your face)..so you eyes will look slanted downwards. This will make the skin on your eyelids smooth and stretchier so you can apply the eyeliner. My next tip is just draw the line (starting out really thin...if you make it a little crooked, you can always make it a little thicker to cover it up) with the eye liner as carefully as possible. Unfortunately this is just something that takes practice.
Good luck!

Yes yes yes use moisturizer! You can use whatever you like based on what your skin needs, but def. look for one with SPF of at least 15 or greater.
Applying eyeliner can be tricky... Try resting your your elbow on a hard surface and pulling the corner of your eyelid (to make the lid taut) while drawing. Practice makes perfect!

Hey chill, those things happened to me alot! Like last time, I put on blush to much, that I look like I had cried for three hours, and last time I put on too much lip stick, which was smoking red, that I looked like I srubed my lips with a pail of blood!!!!! Any way, experience it with a sleepover, let friends come over and do some make over with each other, learn how pro. or BFF's do it! But one suggestion, before you finally get to reach on with your finally learned lesson, try to wear makeup at home, not any where else, because it you did your "makeup" to harsh..... people will look at you.... and... let's just say two things. First, it won't look pretty. Second, chill... nobody in this world is perfect. And one more thing I'm Elise so remember that!!!! He He He!!!!

As for moisturizer, only as needed (i.e. if you have dry skin & need it for smooth application or if your foundation doesn't have SPF.
