lol that's the GI Bill

The GI Bill is a monthly pay check you get to go to school.

I make $1500/mo from all the money the Guard pays me to go to school. Next year it will be $2,500/mo..

Not including 100% Paid Tuition

YES, and do you really know what your talking about. First, any soldier can convert their military service into at least 1 year of college depending on their job, second, the MGIB is currently at $38,700, which converts to a little over $9600 dollars a year if you go full time, there are plenty of state schools that you can go to for that, including room board, books, and tuition. Next while in the Army you have to be motivated to go to school while in, if done right, you can get another year or so on a 4 year enlistment. Next, if qualified you can get the Army college fund which can be as much as $72,500 depending on the job you choose and the length of enlistment. That doesn't give you the whole story, though. Active duty military also have 100% tuition assistance. There is an annual max, but it is very hard to hit that amount. (Hubby usually takes 6 classes a year, and never maxes out!) The only thing you are out is the cost of books and supplies. Most Airmen, I don't know about the other branches, are able to knock out quite a bit of their college before their enlistment is up. Now, if Sgt. X decides not to take advantage of that while he is in, that is his own doing. But, it is there for the taking!!

My hubby and his brother are getting their degrees through the same university. Last years costs for 18 credit hours to hubby- ~$500. Brother - $5000+ Trust me, the AF is taking care of his education!

Yeah I support the troops, why would any American not support the troops. Regardless of whether I agree with our reasons for being involved in the things we are involved in or not, those Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen are doing what they can to support our Country, and Constitution. The least we can do is support them right?
