I have lost almost 60 pounds and I am not sure about the willpower involved. I think for me it has all come down to lfestyle changes. I keep motivated by knowing that I am so much healthier.

Atkins is how I lost my weight, and am still losing. Check out some books like Protien Power and some of the Atkins lifeplan books. If you're not going to stick with a program for life, your weight will most likely creep back on (after all, why should twinkies, chips, pop, ect. be any different than before you started, they still make you gain weight!).

But try to schedule in some gym time, or borrow a friends excersise. Even walking around the block for 15 mintues a day and cutting portions will help you! Eat protien and fat and keep the carbs low and you should see results.

Commitment is the way to go, just get into a routine and youll be seeing results in no time!

I used to be on a wheat free, dairy free and low sugar diet and avoiding red meat and sticking to chicken and fish. It was difficult but there are some tasty foods you can find at any health food store. I lost 20 lbs in two months with little exercise. I try to keep it up now and I go to the gym alot and that helps as well. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

diet is a way of life not a sprint.
i put all of this together and i have followed it for years. i (i lost about 40lbs)
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

My weight loss story isnt dramatic, but here it goes....I'm 13 turning 14 in august. I'm 5'6 1/2 and i use to weigh 168 pounds. Now I am 120 pounds....!!! I feel great. What I did was just ate healthy (no desserts, candy, mayo, dressings, oil, use olive oil, chocolate, dairy, white flour, greasy stuff). I ate in portions. You could spoil yourself to a dessert once in a while like i do, but dont over indulge.. I use to walk 30 minutes on the treadmill everyday. (27 minutes walking, 3 minutes running) lol...I know that I ran a little bit but it will keep your heart beat rate going .... Trust me I know!!! Then I stopped exercising because i only exercised for two weeks..Then i stopped going to the gym and exercising...But I dance to loud indian music everyday and just have fun....thats keeps the weight from coming back on.... i hope u try my technique so u could get beautiful and thin like me even though i bet u that you are beautiful now too. drink plenty of water and get plenty of sleep!!!!! Eat vegetables and fruits as much as you can!!!!

well! the first thing that you have to do is to believe that you can do it.the first step is not to follow pleinty of diets but to eat the half of the food that you used to eat and do something to move your body.
