The City of Philadelphia has recently closed down approximately 16 "psychics" shops, due to a 30 year old law on the books that makes it a misdemeanor to perform psychic readings for profit.

NOT ONE PSYCHIC ever saw this coming - despite the law being on the books for 30 years, and despite their "powers" to read the future - at least, to read their very own futures!!

Do you see now that psychics are fake???

YOU SAID: "Does this finally prove that Psychics are fake???"

COMMENT: That's a great policy where it is designed to prevent fraud and also discourage truly gifted individuals from misusing their God-given gift.

RESPONSE: Hi, I'm Toni. I'm not a psychic. However, I am a Bible-reading Christian who has experienced and believes in God-given foreknowledge. Furthermore, in highschool i conducted as a final project a 'dreaming survey' that led to the discovery of some local 'psychic' or gifted intuition activities going on commonly around us.

The term psychic generally refers to the 1-800 number businesses who use their own gimmics to tell you the future. However, psychics or 'soothsayers' go all the way back to Bible times where they are mentioned also as diviners or simply people claiming to have contact with spirits who could tell them divine things.

The truth is God can give people future knowledge that is 100% accurate though symbolic at first until it happens. This is how the Bible is pretty much written - and proven scientifically to be true where people speak of events years, centuries before they are accurately fulfilled. The greatest of these is every prophecy about Jesus Christ's life and death was fulfilled.

However, Satan, as accounted in the Bible, also has this power and those who 'play' with him in weegee boards, etc. experience the same "really weird" scary stuff that goes on.

Some are just fake.

My survey proved that moms and twins can often tell when something is wrong with their children far away often specific.

Gotta go!

This argument is approximately as sturdy via fact the counter argument that I regularly pay attention... If an getting older point magician with out scientific practise can grant a large sum of money to all people who might nicely be in a position to get previous the criminal hurdles that he's able to create, is prepared to spend hundreds of greenbacks of their very own money, is prepared to grant finished administration of outcomes over to this magician, and is prepared to grant this magician absolute authority in figuring out whether the outcomes are valid, then why hasn't each and every physique come forward to illustrate their skills? only via fact no one has satisfied a grumpy, previous, psuedo-skeptic does no longer recommend that no scientific paintings has been carried out interior the sector. There are relatively people who think of like this... seem on the examine in case you desire to comprehend what the technological information does and does no longer say. there is lots of unreliable and unorganized paintings that asserts to be parapsychology, yet you will discover this in any container of technological information. examine the valid journals on parapsychology and you will see nicely designed experiments that reveal repeatable phenomenon. The physique of scientific paintings in this container is subtantial and becoming. however, there are extremely some people who do no longer examine the examine and declare that psi is thoroughly authentic and plenty such as you notice interior the movies, and there are others who declare that there is surely NO stable info of psi. the two sides are incorrect.

of course they are fake that's why on their advertisements they say, "for entertainment purposes only" it's just for funa dn games not for you to take to heart no matter what plus, if there are REAL psychics out there why didn't they try to warn america about the 9/11 attacks and how come one psychic can contradict another psychic aren't they all the same?? don't they see pretty much the same things?? Plus I mean, can you imagine how someone who lives their life according to what a psychic says, I mean it's like today you are going to live a long long life and then tomorrow's reading is you're going to die soon very soon...I mean, come on now...wake up out of the trance! it's just for fun...pay your 10 bucks get your 10 min reading and move on withyour life! lol...

It proves that those psychics were fake.

Were there any that closed down and moved somewhere else before this happened?

Personally, true psychics fall into the unicorn/dragons/aliens category.

They might be out there, but they have yest to be found by reliable methods.

People will continue to be duped sadly. I did belive in them previously until I saw something on PBS showing the same exact phrasings in each encounter with people. Everyone has a strong psychic connection etc.

There is a law in NY that says oral sex is illegal. That doesn't mean its fake. People who know little, like to generalize so that its easier to ridicule. Like "Powers to see the future" Just because you have an uniformed idea of what a psychic is doesn't mean that it is not real. What happened? did a spouse or lover bust you doing something wrong through a psychic, or hit to close to home on something. Or maybe you got an answer that held you responsible for your own misfortunes. I'm not sure how a law that was a decade removed from the Jim crow era proves that Psychics are fake.

Of course psychics are fake. No one has really predicted the great events in history, and no one will...at least with 100% accuracy.

Sure, a single event makes all the others fake. That's not very scientific. It's Philly, man! Of course they're fake there.

ok. i'm missing something here...it says the city inspectors shut them down, being from the dept. of license and inspections...um, how the hell did they get a business license if the dept. knew about this law?

p.s.--i know that doesn't have anything to do with their authenticity, but i'd like to know....

I called a psychic once and she answered the phone" How can I help you?"

I hung up, she should have known.
