I got a new Sony CD player (the stock stereo is only a tape cassette player) and I am confident about the wiring and stuff, I just don't know how to get the old radio out. The more descriptive the better. Thanks!

There's not much to describe. The panel surrounding the radio is just held in with clips; carefully pull or pry and it will come away. The factory radio is held in with screws underneath the panel.
