I am in the process of changing our dogs food and I am doing slowly. I am wondering if it's normal for loose poop to happen untill she it totally on her new food? What other symptoms might I expect to see during the process?

i switched dog food recently as well and my pup only had the loose stools. if you do if gradually, she should be just fine. but do take note of any strange symptoms b/c she could be allergic to something in the new food.

It can, it's not a given, but they certainly go thru a couple of days with loose stool, especially if you are making a dramatic change.. ie from Beneful to Canidae or something, you would likely get some loose stool... Or if you were switching to something or from something that was very rich. Otherwise you aren't going to see much difference.. Maybe drinking a little more or less....

You shouldn't expect to see any other symptoms. If you're changing to the new food slowly enough, you shouldn't expect to see much loose stool, either. I had a problem with it when my dogs just didn't tolerate the new food. If you're taking about 10 days to 2 weeks to completely change over, your dog should be fine.

Thats all I had when I switched my dogs over to a new food. Maybe some dogs may vomit but usually it is the loose stools and perhaps some gas.

If you are changing foods slowly and the new food is quality food you really shouldn't see any symptoms. If she has loose stools to no increase to more of the new food until her stools have stabilized them selves.

Loose stool is normal, maybe some throw up. You're doing it the correct way.
