Leviticus chapter 11 lists the dietary restrictions God gave to the nation of Israel. The dietary rules were never intended to apply to anyone other than Israel. Jesus later declares all foods clean (Mark 7:19). God gave the apostle Peter a vision in which He declares concerning formerly unclean animals, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean” (Acts 10:15). When Jesus died on the cross, He put an end to the Old Testament law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:24-26; Ephesians 2:15). This includes the laws regarding clean and unclean foods.

Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall. So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves. But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin. (Romans 14:20-23)

As long as it doesn't eat you first.
There are personal preferences of course, and we are commanded moderation in all things, and to not consume anything that would be considered addictive. But what's addictive to me may not be for you. But generally speaking yes. There may be consequences for doing so, but you can choose to eat anything. (consequences like a sour stomach, a stomach ache, becoming addicted to something - think cola's first thing in the morning, or coffee etc.)

Yes, none of the animals are restricted at any time.
"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:" 1 Timothy 4:1-4
The "no meat on Good Friday" is a man-made tradition and contrary to the verses above.

In the begining the diet was total vegaterian, but God allowed meat to be eaten in Lev. 7:26 Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, [whether it be] of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings.
Clean and unclean meats are described in Lev. 11, but a vegaterian diet with what folks feed animals is "MUCH" healthier, God bless learn more www.amazingfacts.org talk to me wgr88@yahoo.com

If Jesus was never born than the answer would be no , the old testament is riddled with rules and regulations but Jesus came and changed that . The catholic church doesn't seem to understand that ....

Just about. Just refrain from things sacrificed to idols, things strangled, and blood. Acts 15:20.
Plus cannibalism i guess.

Catholics abstain from red meat on Fridays during Lent, and we fast on certain Holy days.
Other than that, we have no other food restrictions.
Most Protestants do not have that.
Peace!
