Would you allow people to learn from mistakes and become wise or would you give them a book to tell them what to do so they wouldn't have to become wise?

Would you condemn your creations to eternity of suffering for your mistakes of letting them have a choice?

Now, Who is more evolved, you or God? Then why are there all these worries about hell?

This question is interesting in that you did not mention the name of the book to which you are referring, and yet it is clear that you are speaking of the christian bible.
The question also calls for answers that are based on pure opinion or learned conceptions of god, so I will answer this question as such.
I am a satanist (no I do not worship the devil) and therefore do not believe in the christian god. I am also a quantum physicist by profession, and as such demand that my beliefs be founded on scientifically demonstratable and repeatable evidence.
I do however believe in a creator, because the current understanding of science is very lending to the idea as a possibility (much different from a probability mind you).
My personal belief is that god is so incredible, so magnificent, so shockingly powerful, that to even try and understand god's nature in any way is an unfathomable and absurd undertaking in the first place.
Now everyone is entitled to believe what they choose, however let me take those of you who would argue the nature of god to be anything less as generally do christians, muslims, jews, buddhists, hindus, etc ad infinitum... and go over a very simple logical path of thought; there are only two possibilities here (using human logic). Either you are wrong about the way you have been taught and currently believe, and your god is actually greater than you currently percieve god to be....or if the god you believe in is not unfathomably incomprehensible, then my god is greater than yours. Those are the only two logical choices...period.
Also for those of you have a more than basic understanding of theology, the origins of the supposed "hell" in christian context is completely fabricated and it is very well documented in multible historical and religious records.
The summary of my answer is this: To believe that we could ever try and "think" on any level associated with or common to god is arrogant, blasphemous, ignorant, and just plain stupid at best.

why get involved , if your God . He made people with free will . It had to be that way or else it's pointless . People have learned from their mistakes , but the bible is there as a helper . Just look at it as an open book test . The answers are there .
As for the burning in hell portion , I'm one of the few Christians who believe that hell is not burning for eternity but Hell is the absence of God . With out God - we cease to exist . The bible says lots of things , but we need to differentiate between what is and isn't an analogy

First of all, you don't want me to be God, because I'm WAY more judgmental than He is, on His worst day! However, if I were God, I think I'd sort of think of the world as my own personal 70's sitcom, where problems get sorted out quickly, always with a little moral at the end of each problem, and everyone ends up laughing. I would want them to make mistakes, often, but take some sage advice from the mistakes they make and learn from them. I also don't think I'd have a black-and-white list of "right" and "wrong." Hell, if I had one, would only be reserved for those who are truly evil and malicious, but even they might not qualify, because I would have to see their point and kind of understand how they felt justified in their actions, no matter how terrible. Good thing I'm not God... besides, I would hate people whining to me about things they want night and day. I'd be like, "Oh my Me (not oh my God, get it?), I'm God, not freakin' Santa! Stop bugging me!!!!!!"

You can't miss with freewill. I would allow people to make their own mistakes, how else are they gonna learn? I wouldn't condemn people to damnation. We all have a choice to be good or evil. I believe over time, people have created "religious ideas" in order to keep people at church. However, it doesn't work. Placing guilt trips on people so they can live a "better life" isn't what God intended. You as an individual must have a relationship with the creator. He doesn't expect perfection so just be yourself!

I hate hard questions! OK God gave us the bible. And it is full of advice and rules and parables. But we as his people have freewill and we all know we tend to make mistakes. Some of us make the same mistakes over and over.

Even though we have this "instruction book." We still make mistakes.

It wasn't a mistake that god gave us freewill. He did that cause he loved us. You wouldn't want someone to love you because they made you.

(I don't know - would you want that?? I wouldn't?)

God wants us to love and serve him, because we want to love and serve him, not becayse he put some kind of whammy on us. So he has given us free will. We have the will to either love him or not.

And if we don't then we don't and we will have to answer for that when the time comes.

God is the most evolved.

The most frightening concept for many people to envision is non-existence.
The idea of an afterlife of any kind is preferable to simply nothing.
But while spirituality is about belief in the divine, organized religion is about control. People want to believe that life does not simply end so religion provides them with a structure of beliefs to latch onto. The religion says do as we say and you will be rewarded forever but defy us and you will be punished forever. Both are preferable to nothing forever so even those who might defy the religion to some extent still accept it. I maintain the belief that there is something beyond this life because I have no reason not to and it’s comfortable but the idea of heaven and hell as described by Judeo/Christian religions are both pretty ridiculous.

I would have a more active roll, the god of the bible is a terrible custodian of earth. I would not make my self visible on grilled cheese sandwiches, or panes of glass, or sides of buildings. There would not be any guessing if I was god or not, everyone would know. The first thing I would do, would be to abolish all religion. Regardless of what your priest/pastor/Imam/holy leader says, you do not have to go to church and read the bible in order to be a good person. Be a good person because you want to, these are the people I would reward if I were god. I hate when people are good because the bible tells them to be good, or because they are scared of the consequences from a man made god.

I would HELP them find the "book" of info but not just hand it over then they could learn from their mistakes if they didn't want to follow the book they would learn for next time I wouldn't make them though because I am a VERY independent person and I like to learn for myself

You are mistaken about God. He does allow us to learn from our mistakes.
Condemnation to Hell I would think it would be for something a little bigger than a mistake. Wheather Christian or not you must agree that there has to be a price to pay for not living right. The world has laws, parents have rules and so on.

Absolutely!!! It used to be whatever extra formal, but I used to speak to Him anything the rationale and since I saved ahead to my possess ambition and needs, whilst He gave me avertisements I stored none and did my means going into increasingly trubles! Into an finish, inside a deep depresion, He stored my existence (!!!) the very moment I left away of all my deep needs... There, empty center, I used to be stuffed with God's Light and Peace and Love - a entire New LIFE, a brand new frame, a New Vision over the beyond and the longer term :) :) :) Yes, He is my Saviour!!!
