Their are no such thing as coincidences, only "God" incidences - why don't you try it out for yourself - keep praying and asking God to show you signs like this one - if you have faith, He will show you what you need to be shown and help you turn you life over.

Your interpretation will make it fit the context of your life. You can do this with practically any book. Hold a question in your mind and open a book to any page. If you look, there will be an answer to your question.
Our minds are constantly trying to put our experiences into the context of our lives.......otherwise we would never learn from our mistakes. It is fun to do sometimes because it can help you look at a problem from a different point of view.

I was laying in bed one day, reached over and grabbed the top card off a tarot deck I happened to have by the bed. The card was surprisingly relevant to my life's situation. I set it aside... and drew again. Surprisingly, this card was as well, though it looked at it from a different angle! So I kept going... and wouldn't you know it? EVERY card could be interpreted in such a way that it was directly relevant to my situation.
Same thing with you opening up your Bible. You interpreted what you read in light of your situation and unrealizingly found the interpretation rel event to you.

I don't believe in coincidence. I believe there was a reason for it. I've tried that many times and it's never happened that way for me, but maybe it happened for you because you don't believe the bible is the world of God as I do. I'm Catholic, by the way.

You can twist the Bible to mean any damn thing you want it too. So you were thinking about it and some faerie tale struck a cord. That isn't even worthy of calling it a coincidence.

And you just happened to pick out a Bible for the answer you're looking for, despite not believing in it?
Nice try, but I'm not that naive.

there is something called " Bibliomancy "
this is a form of psychic reading using text and usually biblical ( religious ) text
I do this personally , in fact I was just showing someone this today
I often use the bible and other books for guidance on specific questions
( this is a very old form of divination)

You choose..........
A friend and I were walking down the street, talking about God... He was not a Christian, and he was just asking random questions about my belief... Just as we were speaking, a white dove flew over our heads and landed in the grass just ahead of us... I told him, "These are the things we must choose... Whether God is sending you a sign, or is it mere coincidence? Why is that dove there? Is it a sign... you choose..."
So I say the same thing to you, my friend... you choose.
