What if you found yourself in a situaction like Jonah? I mean, lets say that God says, “I want you to go and preach to ____ , if you don’t, I’m going to rain fire down from Heaven and destroy this nacion, but this country is going to destroy your nacion in a few years if they repent (that is what happened with Israel and Assria).” Would you turn tail and leave, because you don’t want your country to be destroyed, or would you obey? Please keep in mind that God has ways to make you obey Him.....remember the whale.

Uhm, sorry about the spelling folks, I'm from Mexico, and we spell "nation" nación, so I got a bit confused, since I'm quite fluent in both languages, sometimes I mix them.
Thanks for all the answeres, please keep them coming!

When God calls you, you must answer...My husband was called to preach at a young age and ran from God. He is in the "whale" now and finally preaching with passion.

I would go to the Shire and ask some Hobbits to help me.
They are pure of heart.
But then I would go to Asgard and ask The Mighty Thor for his help because of his strength.
Then I would click my ruby slippers together 3 times and say "There's no place like home!" (Toto).
And when I arrived, I would make a wish and blow out the candles on my birthday cake, forward a chain letter to 20 of my closest friends, deposit money into the account of an African business men who I never met, and then buy a lotto ticket.
If all else fails, I enlist the assistance of Harry Potter

I don't want to appear picky but in defense of the whale, I would like to state that a more proper translation would be great fish. The whale is not a fish and it has been reported that they are a proud race and very defensive of their heritage. I wouldn't go near the ocean were I you.

I would probably do exactly as Jonah did....and as Moses did.
I'd first ask God if someone else could do it instead of me! "Oh Lord, I am slow of speech and slow of tongue."
Yes, I'm human and frail. A calling like that would be daunting for me, but if God pushed me, I would obey and just trust Him.

I asked myself that and I would do what he tells me now.
I thought I would be like Jeremiah because people rebuked the true word.
Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But [his word] was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not [stay] (Jer 20:9).

He was scared of being killed if he set foot there and did not put his faith in Jehovah. I would try to learn from the example of others and do His will.

That's a bit convoluted, but I would probably do whatever would help the largest number of people.

I would check into the nearest mental hospital because it is pretty obvious that I am totally delusional.
