My blood type is A Positive. I heard today that I may have problems when I'm pregnant if I have a child with someone of negative blood type, is this true?

Is there a blood type clashing that has to be taken into consideration?

no. If you were a negative type and you concieved with someone who was positive there could be a problem, but a mother with a + blood will be fine.

there is no problem with u being positive
if u were a negative blood type and ur other was a positive then ur body would look at the babys blood as something foreign and would try to reject it. i am negative and my husband is positive. i had to get a rhogam shot when i was pregnant and after i gave birth. u should be fine.
