I've had malignant melanoma twice, and my oncologist told me a 'secret' about 'nutrition' ... that you have to 'really listen' to your CRAVINGS because they'll 'tell you what your body needs' ... and if you 'crave salt' there is something terribly 'wrong' going on inside you, because 'salt' makes your blood pressure rise much more than it 'improves flavor.' I 'listen' and actually crave 'weird food' ... oysters, 'salad greens', and even, occasionally, chocolate (but ONLY 'dark'). If you 'learn to listen better' and you follow the 'eat ONLY what you 'crave' and don't eat if you don't 'crave' it, then you'll be much happier and healthier in the end. I'll bet when you 'needed' that steak, you actually 'craved it' ... but those 'cookies and whipped cream' are 'no good' ... unless you add some nice blueberries or pomegranate and don't add any 'sugar' to the whipped cream. You do use 'made by you' whipped cream, and not the 'canned stuff' that has all sorts of 'bad chemicals' in it, right?

I usually crave 4 something sweet *takes a bite of ice cream*
But usually after I eat the sweet, I need something salty *grabs a box of Pringles*
So you're not the only one who's confused. :)

My most common cravings are for guacamole and grapefruit juice. Now, I don't crave these at the same time, but usually crave one or the other when I am slightly dehydrated. And, wouldn't you know it, both are very high in potassium. So, when I crave either of these, I make sure to listen to what my body is telling me.

I tend to crave both sweet and salty foods! I want my sweets to have a balance with salt instead of pure sweetness(gag)! Perfect snack chex muddy buddies! It is a balance of sweet, salty, and crunchy!

I usually have a craving for sweet stuff. it's never good for my health, and certainly not good for my wallet (normally the crave center of my brain tells me I need the newest Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavor, which is like $3.45 a pint at its cheapest.)

for me neither it's something hot.. radish.. onion, pepper,
habenaro. But there's one rare spice I won't knowingly eat
It comes from Dallas Texas but it's so rare not many even there know of it's existence. If You've watched Dukes of Hazard.. you've heard of it.. in their chili contest,,,
Skuddenoff ( I probably spelling it wrong)! It's something that's far too hot for me! I never ever thought there'd be such a thing as a hot spice hotter than I can withstand!
Most of my mexican friends tend to like hot snacks too!
Kathrynne Pelto she sure loves that Skuddenoff though! Just too hot for me!
