well in school i am making her a photo frame and my family is taking her to jcpenny to buy some stuff and makeup.

Actually I think we are having a BBQ. I will be bringing her flowers and a card though. And having the kids make her a card also. IF I am not in the hospital with her newest grand baby!
Also.. she is getting a package of AA batteries from me to go with the novelty slot machine my sisters are giving her!

I wanted to get her a digital photo frame and scan in all our childhood photos plus the grankids digital ones - but now Im waiting until this xmas when I think the prices will go down more.
So now Im stumped, and went to your question looking for other ideas.

Going to her grave, cleaming her headstone, leave her some of her favorite chewing tobacco and some flowers. She is an old country girl who really did chew tobacco.

all the girls in my family are going to a rest. called the Melting Pot. it's a fondue place, cheese, chocolate.. etc. (we're all mothers)
and after that, i'm coming home to a BBQ early dinner with my inlaws.

I got her candy and a book. Saturday we are going shopping and out to lunch (she doesn't like to drive any more), but I don't know where yet. probably Red Lobster.
