Just a department meeting in the middle of the afternoon. No Rice Krispie Treats though... we're all adults and these are mostly greedy men!

If you need to make an impression chocolate covered potato chips, pretzels or strawberries always works. It is easy. Get some chocolate, paraffin wax, and the food to be covered. Make a double boiler by putting a smaller pan inside a larger pan with water in it. Large pan with water, now put smaller pan inside. Begin to heat water. Put chocolate in with a little paraffin. Paraffin amount should be about 1/4 of the amount of chocolate. The paraffin helps it stick, it doesn't melt as quickly and you can eat it. Its in most candy bars. So melt the chocolate & paraffin. Once melted, keep heat constant but low. Then just dip the chips, pretzels or strawberries. You don't have to dip the whole thing. Half the chip makes a nice presentation. Put the just-dipped object on wax paper & let it cool. There you go. Have recipe cards ready. They will ask.

48 waffer thin chocolate cookies (any grocery store should have them)
24 Andies chocolate mint candies

Line a cookie sheet with foil and set oven to lowest temp (no more than 250)

Put 12 of the cookies bottom-side up on the cookie sheet.
Place an Andies Candy on each of the 12 upside down cookies.

Heat in the oven just until candy is glossy - Not runny.

Top each of the cookies with the remaining cookies. Press the two cookies together creating an Andies sandwich. Sometimes you need to give them a twist to ensure that the candy is evenly distributed in the "sandwich."

Cool and enjoy!

Great for summer...

You should make some chocolate pudding!
And you can never go wrong with some brownies.
Or, make some rice krispie treats with some chocolate drizzled on top :]
Try my personal favorite, Choclate Strawberries..

I think it depends on what kind of a meeting it is and also what time of day. If it is in the morning, you could bring bagels, some donuts or granola bars. If it is an afternoon meeting, you can always go the brownie or cookie route. Lots of local grocery stores have party trays available for resonable prices.
