I'm throwing a baby shower, and the mother-to-be has informed me that she wants her 2 year old son to attend, as well as her friends children (if all come I'll have 4 small boys all between 2-6. It is really important to her that they come. I don't mind child-proofing my home, but I'm not sure what to do with them during the shower. Any ideas for activities ect?

let them have some baby themed activities, draw a picture of what the baby will look like, help decorate a "welcome baby" banner to put up in the baby's room, ect. Find a teenager to hire for the afternoon to help with the kids, and get an pool for the backyard if they get restless.

If you have a neighbor kid that can “babysit” during the shower and keep this small army of boys out of the cake and presents, that might be the most stress-free solution for you.
Play-doh is a good bet for a group of mixed age kids and will keep them relatively quiet. Rent a movie if it’s too hot to be outside – that may be the calmest solution.

If you have a lanai or porch that the children could play on that would be good or a family room where there would be television, books , games, paper, crayons etc to keep them busy.

Duck Duck Goose was one of my faves, along with fingerpainting! Tiny kiddies pools and treasure hunting. Cowboys and Indians would be a lot of fun!

you need to print some coloring pages for them or conceal a table in white butcher paper for them to coloration on. you need to get some bubbles and sidewalk chalk for them too in the event that they're waiting to play outdoors. For the pinata, you need to get one with ribbons to pull fairly than them hitting it with a stick. The ribbon ones are much less difficult to establish and larger for little little ones.

If you have a fenced in yard you could play with plastic balls or whatever. u could also do that in your basement. you could have arts and crafts or stories. the possibilities are quite endless
