I want to tone my abs, legs and arms, possibly butt and I want to lose a little weight. I love to eat though, and don't have a lot of money to buy special stuff for foods. I am 13 so how do I get in shape with out going overboard on the dieting! I need answers quick!

for toning do pilates, yoga or this workout called Callanetics- it's from the 80s, it's on video and it's a funny video because it's so old, but the workout is GREAT!! But to burn fat, you'll need to do some cardio- like jogging or bike riding or Tae Bo or something that gets your heart rate up.

One thing you can do for your stomach area is hold your tummy muscles in for up to 10 seconds, if you can. Release for the count of ten, and repeat. The good thing about this exercise is you can do it anywhere, any time of day or night; and not a soul knows unless you tell them. You can do it laying down, sitting at the kitchen table, in a car, while watching tv, while walking...... As far the junk food, its just something you have to want to stop; when you need a snack grab a fruit or veggie, chew TRIDENT gum (it cleans your teeth, for real when brushing isn't available).

WOW. 13? Put down the chips. Self control is the name of the game with "junk" food.

Stick to veggies and boneless skinless chicken. If my 12 year old daughter wanted to diet (she doesn't need to in case she is reading this) that's what I'd put her on.

also WHOLE grain breads and starches (brown rice).

avoid dairy with a lot of fat in it. drink 1% or skim milk in your cereal and AVOID SUGAR IN THE A.M.

If you tell your parents you want to eat better they should support your efforts. if they don't tell them you don't want to be another statisticly FAT kid.

just cut out soda and junk food. eat raw fruit and veggies, whole grains, and baked or grilled chicken or fish. you don't have to buy "diet" food to lost weight. drink lots of water, too.
