My friend has a12yr old daughter and twins aged 5. Her daughter has ben acting up for the past year and is getting worse. She has been suspended from school several times, been drinking and smoking, cautioned by the police, she is threating her mum, and i've recently found out that she has been having sex with a boy in her school (her mum doesnt know this).
Should i tell her mum about her having sex? And what can her mum do about her behaviour?

Her mum would be upset if she knew that you knew and didn't tell her. The girl needs to be in anger management classes and possibly 1 on 1 therapy. She's probably got self-esteem issues that are causing all this. 12 is a hard age...maybe she just needs someone to guide her through the transition to her teen years.

You should absolutly tell your friend about her daughter having sex at age 12!! My god! That is crazy! At her age she has no idea of the endless possibilites that her actions can cause........ STD's, pregnancy....etc. You definetly have to do the right thing for everybody involved and speak up. Sounds like she is on a vey slippery slope with her behaviour, and that her parents need to see that it's time to try something more drastic with her....... before it's too late. Maybe they can get her into therapy, or boot camp or both. They should seek out the guidance of school counsellors, doctors and therapists to decide which is the best idea for their troubled daughter. Good luck!

The main thing is to find out why this is happening. Something is majorly wrong with this young lady. I'd be looking out at bereavements, contact visits if father no longer around, school failure, bullying. Some kind of sexual abuse or harassment could be involved, given the anger she is clearly feeling, and the age she is starting sexual. relationships.

I think you should definately talk to her mum about the sexual activity - she is just a child. She does sound out of control, and i don`t think it`s a matter of what her mother can do about it. This has reached a dangerous stage and her mother needs to call in some help - the authorites - they will help her thru this difficult time. Don`t be afraid to speak out - this child could get involved with the wrong type one of these days - then you`ll wish you had said something.

Let her keep doing it then when she gets taken to jail she'll see who's really the bigger person. And about her having sex tell her mom but tell her mom not to come at her hard when trying to talk to her about it. Tell her what being pregnant at 12 will do to her and what people will think about her when she starts getting bigger and bigger. Also don't let her get a abortion if she gets pregnant she was big enough to go out and have sex, than she big enough to take care of a child.

definately tell her mum, if it was your daughter you'd want to know. it sounds like a cry out for attention to me,her mum needs to spend one-on-one time with her daughter, like going out together without the twins. its better to stop it now before it gets worse. she needs punishing for the things she does wrong and Praise for things she does well. if theres no praise she wont bother being good. good luck and i hope everything goes ok.

yes her mom must know i would put her in a juvenile lock up or a convent.this girl is trouble and its not going to get better! as for the piece of crap that screws a 12 year old he needs to go to prison.if someone doesnt stop her she will wind up dead.where is the childs father? maybe he is a answer? good luck to all of you!

Her and her ma must have a wonderful relationship, her going around telling you about her sex life and all but leaving mummy dearest out of it...Sounds too late already, best send her off to military school!

Be tough put her in care. You have your life to live you are only here once. This is not a rehearsal .If she whats to ruin her life let her get on with it don,t let her ruin yours. It will be tough but you will be happier in the long run Good luck.
