The soul of humans is immortal. One reason God created us was so that we all could have a chance to share Heaven with God. It is an act of Divine Love. Without having been born we could not die and share Paradise for eternity. There are no good bye's in Heaven.

I doubt it.
I think the concept was invented to ease the fright of death man naturally has. Mankind is afraid of the unknown, so they created a cute little fairytale to explain what happens after death.
Therefore, if man were immortal, would the religious people still need a deity?
I never needed one, myself, but as for those who currently need one, I don't think that in a situation where man would be immortal it would still be useful.

Have you ever read the real version of Gulliver's travels by Johnathan Swift? ummmmm I don't think God is a notion and in a way man is immortal.

Yes. Adam & Eve were created that way by God. While in that perfect state, they had a close relationship with God.
Though the soul is not immortal as Ezekial 18: 4 says "the soul that is sinning, it itself will die."

No, if we lived forever we would become Gods at some point. Just think about how much you could learn if you just lived for 200 years. We would soon figure out that the government created God so we wouldn't rebel against them anymore.

possibly in a different form - I think most theist thinking is a response to the concept of death and non-existence, but even an immortal race may need some mythology to explain the universe as observed whilst they are in a pre-scientific stage.
Tolkien explored this with his elves - most of their legends and myths were about escape from deathlessness rather than death, and they still had creator myths.

In my opinion, God would still exist. If we were immortal, this planet could not hold us though, nor support or sustain us.

The question is irrelevent. You pre existed and will return to where you came from. The question is. Have you made the best of your time here?

I think so. But it would probably be much more similar to a " good luck 4 leaf clover" thing.
"All hail the great 4 leaf clover, for he hath brought us water from the sky."

Man is immortal...at least his spirit. When you die only your body dies not your spirit: and so one day you will spend your immortal after life in one place or the other...with God or the lake of fire. Either way you will spend the rest of eternity somewhere.
