I worked for a man in SLC who had 17 children. I never thought to ask how many wives.

I'm LDS/Mormon. Not in the ward I'm in now, but in a previous ward I was friends with the oldest of 11 children, so there were 13 in their family. That's the biggest Mormon family I have personally met. At the time I knew them, the oldest was 28 and the youngest was 8. None were homeschooled. The largest family with kids in the home right now has about 5 kids, with another on the way.

Utah Mormons seem to have larger families than non-Utah Mormons. I grew up in Alabama and the largest family I saw in my ward was of six children. However, I have relatives in Utah who are members, and one branch of the family has NINE kids. Two other family branches with six kids each. My dad was born and raised as a Utah Mormon, and all in all, I have 27 first-cousins on his side of the family. Gotta make sure to be first in line during dinnertime at the family reunions, ha. I like having a big family though.

Couldn't tell you, because most of the people in my ward are about 75 years old. Of the younger couples the biggest family is 4. Factually, I think Catholics have larger families than Mormons. Mormons teach couples to practice smart family planning, meaning birth control is okay and they need to make sure they can support and take care of whatever children they have.

Most people in my neighborhood have 3 or 4 kids, but there is this one family that lives down the street that has 10 kids, and their family is so strange, and like that family that was home school they are also home schooled, and sorry for them, but they don't even know how to shower, read or anything...so sad. I also know of another family in my neighborhood who has 11 children.

Uh, I think 8 or 9 kids is the most I can think of... most families I know that have more than 5 kids are older families. I think it is getting too expensive to have lots of kids... I am wanting only 2. I am Mormon.

I think it's a family with 7 kids.
I don't think I could personally pull that off, but it seems to work just fine for them -their house and budget are big enough, the pregnancies were easy on the mom, they all seem well-adjusted...so whatever is clever for them, you know what I mean.

I am not currently Mormon; but since all people are my brothers and sisters; my family (Gen. 20:12), the family would currently be around 7 billion people.
