As a rough estimate, the amount you weigh in pounds times by 10 = the amount your body needs to maintain it's current weight, NOT including any excersize whatsoever (not even walking to the toilet)! So 140pounds/10 stone = 1400.

Burning approxminately 3500 calories = losing one pound. This sounds shockingly disserpointing, and what you should be losing is couple of pounds a week if you're doing it right - any more is dangerous - but alot of weight you see is actually not fat, instead it could be water retention (cured by drinking more water, strangely) or undygested food (don't eat anything after 6.30pm and you'll wake up with an empty stomach). If you follow this, in the first week you will appear to have lost more like 5 pounds, but remember that at least half of this will just be the kind of non-perminnt weight you can put on/lose anyday. Weigh yourself in the morning, before breakfast.

Hope this helped.

Depends on weight and size you are now and whether you are a man or a woman... If you are a man, say 220 lbs and you excersize every day and don't eat more than 1800 calories, you will shed 14 lbs in no time flat, proably 2 to 3 weeks easily.

need to know how much you weigh now, how tall you are, what your BMR is and what your body fat percentage is. Ballpark - around 8-10 weeks.
