i will be able to run everday on the treadmill(and walk) and have a healthy diet.... is that enough to loose weight(especially bicep and belly fat)? i dont want to use machines or do sit-ups and stuff, i can just run on the treadmill, diet, and have a normal 30 min walk everday. Do you think that's enough for me to loose weight in all part of my body, especially biceps and stomach?

yes...toning is nothing more than the reduction of body fat. body fat is lost all over the body when regular measurable fat loss occurs not in any one localized area. genetics determines where on the body fat is lost first and last, exercise has no effect on that.

you really want to exercise for 60-80 minutes at a time for optimum results. training at a high level of intensity or about 75% effort will cause the greatest increase in the metabolic rate after exercise. to get the best results from cardio the goal is to keep increasing the amount of work that is performed in the same amount of time. pay no attention to calories burned during exercise it's a waste of time and focus on the distance that is traveled. if you can run 10 miles in 60 minutes today then tomorrow or the next training day the goal should be 10.1 miles in 60 minutes.

The running & diet will definitely help you lose weight all over, but, it won't help with the toning. When you take your "normal 30 min walk everday", carry some hand weights & that will help you tone your arms. As you walk, curl the weights & it wil be an easy way to combine both of your exercises in a short amount of time. Also, when you walk, make sure you are contracting your abs/sucking in your stomach & that will help with the toning of your tummy. Aim to keep your abs contracted the whole 30 min & you will start to feel/see a difference.

i am not quite sure why your asking this question when you already are working out. if you are having trouble building up these areas you mention then you need to work them differently. you may be doing the same kind of workout over and over. the body will get used to that and you will not get any gains. so you need to get a exercise book and find different exercises to hit these muscles at different angles. ex., instead of regular sit ups for abs do leg lifts/scissor kicks then crunches or lay stomach down on weight bench and touch your nose to the floor, i guess like a reverse sit up. i just made that up. if you do not get muscle gain it could be bad diet, so eat a lot of protein, fruits and vegetables, lots of water, etc. also in order to get muscle gain you need to increase weight . ex. if you do 3 sets of 7 reps ,ex. set1 20pds., set2, 22.5 pds., set3 25 pds. , you got the idea! you need to be challeging the muscles if you want them to grow, or else your just keeping them tone. which is what many people prefer, however like they say no pain , no gain.just be careful! you know what your body can handle, so i am sure you will be alright. i hope this has been helpful!

You'll burn away excess fat exposing your muscles, but you won't tone them much just by walking. Sprinting is more intense and works more muscles than just walking and would be the better option if you just don't want to do sit-ups or crunches. But you tend to build bulk in the legs sprinting.

But if you have excess fat in the arms and tummy, cardio will be great to get rid of it. Just add one day a week of strength-training these areas, so that as the fat sheds, you can see more rippled muscles. Best of luck!

NO. the treadmill and diet (healthy eating) will help in reducing your fat but to get biceps and abs you must work your muscles.. try a pilates ball at home,, i love mine,, you can do legs and arms and ab toning in 20 to 30 minutes and theres no free weights.. and boy to you sweat...

Your body will naturally tone itself as you run. It will burn fat like crazy.
