The 350z is a Sports GT/Sports Car.

EPA Mileage is 20/27 which is certainly not bad.

0-60 is usually somewhere within the lowish to mid 5 second range (5.3-5.5s) and handling is usually rated as very good.

As for handling, it has good handling, though curb weight is a bit on the high side. It does have competitors that handle better, most notably the excellent handling Mazda RX8 and the S2000 and it does have competitors that accelerate quicker (Ford Mustang GT) but for the most part is is a good compromise.

As for daily driving, the suspension is a bit harsh, though that is a common complaint for sports cars.Rear visibility is pretty woeful and the clutch is a little too heavy in effort for city stop and go driving.

The interior is alright for the price and performance this car offers but it is definitely not exemplary .

Specs: 350Z Coupe (Convertible is almost 1/2 a second slower to 60 due to weight)
0-60mph 5.3s
1/4 Mile 13.77s
60-0mph braking 113 feet(Track trim with optional Brembo Brakes)
Skidpad: 0.89G

Most Z owners really like the car. I work for a Dallas Fort Worth Nissan Dealer. Very reliable and extremely tossable in the turns if track days are in order buy the track model with brembo brakes six speed gear box also shifts very well. Most add a set of stronger sway bars Ray's forged Nismo wheels and a set of aggressive tires. Gas milage is good 18 to 27 mpg. Insurance might be a bit high. As always buy the very best 350Z you can.

It is known as fairlady z in japan, not the 350z. It is a proper sports car, loaded with the latest in technology.. powerful all motor VQ engine, sophisticated front and rear suspension, race inspired Brembo and muti-piston brakes.

try the nismo version

in this version, there's the freer-flow carbon-fiber air ducting, new inlet and exhaust camshafts, lightened flywheel, reinforced conrod bolts and uprated clutch. The engine produces a slight gain of 20bhp and revs to a steeper 7,200rpm redline. It also do have a wildly indiscrete bodykit.

the 350z's engine is a 3498cc, 24v V6
it has 280hp and 371 torque (Nm)
it do have ABS and traction and stability which gives it an outstanding handling.
its fuel economy is 19/26 mpg
you can have options for the transmission.. a 6speed manual and 5speed automatic..

for the price
350z coupe base- $27,900
350z coupe enthusiast- $29,600
350z coupe touring- $32,700
350z coupe grand touring- $36,100
350z roadster enthusiast- $35,550
350z roadster touring- $37,900
roadster grand touring- $40,250

it's a great car.. it do have a good performance.. even a honda S2000 can't beat it..

It has a rough ride, limited space, no-so-great interior, and a fair amount of wind noise.

These are quotes from about 1/2 dozen mags I have read about the car. They also stated the sound of the engine was not pleasant(masked by an exhaust).

its a great car to mess around in..not enough room in them for a family....but if this is a second car for you than you should enjoy it.....i work at nissan and we sell them like hot-cakes.....never seen any come in with power trian or trans problems..handling is great, there is road noise compared to family cars but this isnt a family car....people buy this type of car for looks, speed, and reliabilty...and it has all of that and then some....good luck.....
