I've noticed that superstition in general is more of a personal thing whereas religion is for a large group of people. They're both basically the same thing, i believe it's just the amount of people that makes the difference.

there is NO difference between religion and superstition:
atheists = all the people in religion = all the ignorant fundamentalists = all the cults/superstitions...
Here's the Solution for religion:
Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs.
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!
"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.

Beats me?? When you boil down all the definitions of "religion", it is a fixation. (I am not saying it is bad, a fixation can be rather comforting, at times) - So, if one is fixated on a superstition?? I believe in Jesus and his words, most of the rest of the Bible is rather interesting, but confusing. - So I suppose I am fixated on Jesus, or at least I try to follow his advice. -- smiles --

Superstitions are based on ignorant traditions. Many religions have incorporated superstitious activities in their faiths. The true religion does not. The true religion is free of spiritistic practices.
