To make you Xp look like Vista, goto windowsxlive.com and get vista transformation pack 6.

What do you mean "customize"? If you have the disc you can add or delete whatever is allowed...that won't interfer with the running of windows that is; and its yours to do what you like with it. If you have service pack 2, you dont need anything else.
