Criminals, cows, dogs, flies, lice, horses, plants, old people, fetuses, deer...lots of stuff we kill, but how do we decide what? And WHEN too, since it's "humane" to kill an animal that is in pain, but it's "inhumane" to kill a person, ever...

There's a few "mercy killers" out there who'd disagree about the euthanasea part. Man was not created to kill, before the flood, humans were vegetarians, but afterwards, God told Noah to eat meat since the flood killed all the vegetation. I think its easy to decide, if you need to kill creatures to survive, then you do it. Personally, hunters tick me off, they spend thousands of dollars for guns and hunting equipment just to go out and kill a deer. Murder for the sake of enjoyment is just evil to me. To kill humans is difficult to answer, especially when we're talking people suffering and getting worse with no hope of recovery; people convicted of the crime of murder; and look how many people think its perfectly okay to kill a baby if the pregnancy will be inconvenient for the mother?

I think you must know the Christian perspective - there's something very sacred about human life. We are created in the image of God. My belief then is that only God should have the power to take away life. Therefore, I am against euthanasia, the death penalty and abortion.

God did not create animals with the purpose of being food, but because of our sin, they came to serve different purposes than their original intention. I must say that although I enjoy meat, I do understand vegetarians.

If hungry you discover most animals taste very much alike and as for killing our fellow man/woman they need be tried in our courtrooms first and found guilty of crime worthy of death, then let us not be detoured from taken appropriate actions.

Well... some things are simply common sense. We can't get rid of viruses and bacteria with harsh language...
