Well, since it triggered US involvement in WWII, I'd say it might be a little more than that.

a lot of people think that the attack on Pearl Harbor was allowed to happen - at the time the population of the US was against getting involved in WWII, but the politicians wanted to, but after Pearl Harbor everybody was behind the war (and the ships that would have been hardest to replace just happened to be out to sea during the attack, hmmm)

It said we could no longer be isolationist. It forced us into a war with the Pacific, and then when Germany declared war on us 4 day later there was no other choice.

I know you cannot be trying to tie 911 to pearl harbor. That would be extremely naive and uneducated of one to do that.

It crippled the entire Pacific fleet. It also took America from only supplying money and equipment to actually being in the war. Which ultimately turned the tide of World war 2 and allowed the Allies to win.
