Its the Horse and Groom in Wrotham, Sevenoaks and want to right a piece on our new website detailing the history of the pub and surrounding land ?? any help most appreciated

contact the local branch of camra, there's always somebody there who knows history

Seriously, there's always some old geezer who's been sitting in the corner for the last 60 years. Start with him.

Oh and if you've bought the pub, put the prices down a touch. The economic principle as to prices/turnover/profit also applies to licenced premises. believe it or not!

Lots of boozers are now houses. Don't make it one more..

I'm sure you've already had a title research. That's a start. Then you can ask the county assessor and go to the town's historical society. Ask anyone in town. People love to give information!

Don't brag to us! I live in California and have NO history.
City hall - - property records.
Record the owners > > and then to the Mormon church to search the people's names.

start by asking the locals mate , the older ones especially , I'm sure they be only to happy to help and they will give you some ideas on where to search ............plus as the "new" landlord it cant fail to put you in there favour .........good luck
