I have seen postings on websites where women will say they "speak greek" or "russian" and then give a price. Why do these women ask for money to speak another language?

I would imagine when they say they speak Russian, they are from Russia and speak the mother tongue. They are probably mail order brides seeking men for correspondence. The sites are there to make money by selling addresses.

unfortunately I would take this as a polite brush off. In future if someone says "I'll speak to you later" don't immediately offer your telephone number, if she really wants it she will make a point of asking you for it. If you are nervous about calling girls, they could be feeling just the same. Any girl giving our her telephone number must be prepared to receive a call. If they give you a mobile number why not text instead, but what do you have to lose by picking up a phone and saying hi??
