Has anyone gone from being in the army reserve to active duty?

I just wanted to know if there was a big adjustment that you had to make. Was your experience good or bad? I'm considering going full time.

Well, I was on reserve duty for graduate school, then went active duty for ten years, and returned to reserve duty until I reached my mandatory retirement date.

If you're in a TPU, it is less likely to be a shock than if you are a full-time student like I was. OTOH, it wasn't any really big deal for me, since I came from a military family.

My sister was active, then went reserves then active, then reserves again. No big deal.
