I just so happen to know a couple of really cute and smart Theos, so I'm not that sure it would be a bad thing.
However, a Trilliocracy would certainly be even better, and I just happen to know a Trillian perfect for the job.
----------
But how about a theocracy ruled by a council of priests of all religions? With a special counsellor that should represent the atheists&agnostics? Mwell that wouldn't be a serious theocracy anymore.

If you're talking about a theocracy ala' Iran or Saudi Arabia or Turkey, I'll take my chances with the nuclear fallout. I'd have at least a better chance of survival dodging radiation than to be the obnoxious, rude, and opinionated jerk that I am under some Ahmed Madiniwhoowah cleric and his musical assassins.

Only if the ruler only rules people of the same religion, like in the Vatican. Nono-Catholics don't live there and therefore the government works. If a bunch of muslims lived in a Christian-ruled state, it would fall apart due to religious conflict. This is not a religious conviction, just common sense.

As per the modern definition of theocracy? No -
However an establishment of the true religion? Yes.
Psalm 2
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The KINGS of the earth set themselves, and the RULERS take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
...
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye KINGS: be instructed, ye JUDGES of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Perhaps.
I'm Wiccan, and frankly, an understanding of history shows that the highest standards of living for the arts and sciences historically, have been in the reigns of beneficient and theocratic monarchs.
Unfortunately, for every 1 fantastic one, there are about 200 awful ones, so I wouldn't trade the constant mediocrity of democracy for it.

We do have a Dominionist movement in this country that believes in pushing its own corporate-fascist version of a theocracy. However, I think that most mainstream Christians would oppose them in any sort of a civil conflict...

No, a theocracy is for Iran or Saudi Arabia.
I prefer to live in a free society without religious police, or atheist police for that matter.

There are people out there like that....that is what is scary! The US has too many of them.
No, I would never want to live in a theocracy, that'd be a nightmare.
