neither one is better. They are both mass produced in Taiwan for walmart. The quality (or, the lack thereof) is nearly identical. If you absolutely must buy a bike there, just get which ever one is the most appealing, since you will soon have to take it to a real bike shop to get fixed anyways. Then, after the repair bill you would have spent as much as buying a better quality bike at the shop to begin with.
Walmart will not repair the bike, and will only replace it if the bike was defective before you rode it (and you can prove it). If you ride it, and something doesn't work, you'll end up arguing with the store manager to get a replacement. Bike shops will not honor warranties for bikes bought at walmart, since the manufacturer will never pay them for the work.
do yourself a favour - Get Thee To A Local Bike Shop!!!!

I'm in perfect agreement with the others who've answered ... your best bet is to check a bike shop and see what's available.
If you simply HAVE to buy from Walmart, though - I'd say get the Roadmaster for one very simple reason. The Roadmaster has fewer things that can go wrong or could be mis-assembled before it gets into your hands. There's no need for dual-suspension bike at the level of rider fitness you're probably talking about ... to get a reasonable suspension system will cost AT LEAST $800 US. Anything less than that is just asking for trouble in a very short period of time ... and a hospital bill (at least in the US) is nothing to sneeze at, especially if it's incurred because your bike broke down while you were rolling effortlessly down that off-road trail and missed the turn before the tree (or rock, or bridge, or ... well, you get the picture!)

PLEASE don't buy any bike at Walmart, Kmart, etc.
you will end up paying a lot of money the first time you need a repair or service
and the bike will probably be put together by someone who knows nothing about bicycles
go to a real bike shop, check out Trek, KHS, Specialized, and Giant... all have great bikes in many different price ranges and the quality will be so much better
ride safe!

Neither. Wal-Mart doesn't sell bicycles, they sell "bicycle-like contraptions."
Go to a real bike shop, get a warranty, good service, and a tune-up contract with your lighter, stronger, more comfortable bicycle that FITS.

I would say none of the above. Go to a bike store. You wil get a better, safer bike that will cost you less in the long run.

please please PLEASE don't get a bike at stores like Walmart, KMart, ShopKo, etc.! You'll just waste money at those places. If money is an issue, check out yard sales or pawn shops in your area. Look for brands like Trek or Giant. But first go to a bike shop and ask questions about what to look for. They may even have used bikes for sale.
