controlling clinical depression can actually give rise to anxiety attacks. When seriously depressed, the anxiety response is also depressed. So, to the extent that the anxiety is controlled by the medication used, then yes it can help depression indirectly.

Shady, it depends on the person. Anxiety and depression are very closely related. Best thing to do is discuss it with a professional.

With me, they really do. The shrink says that this is because my anxiety actually causes my depression. You should talk to a psychaitrist, and he'll tell you if you should be on anti-anxieties or anti-depressants. Good luck :)

If they are used to help w/ anxiety related to deppression which can cause one to isolate and not get involved. I use Klonopin in combination w/ other anti deppressants to control chronic pain and depression. It really does help for me.

Anti depressant medications help to reduce anxiety - not sure if that's any help but it is definitely true...

it depends... you need to talk to a pychologist or pyschiatrist. also have a look at PROXAN ( be metagenics) its ten times better than any antideppresant!!! good luck!
