I recently got blonde highlights at the hairdressers and i want to use a brown wash in wash out colour for a party. If i do, will it mean the highlights will be ruined? Or when the wash in wash out comes out (approx. 3 washes) will it leave me with my natural hair colour again? Please help! x

Do not use this product on your highlights. The highlights are now porous and will suck up that color- no matter what the box says. Just wear a wig or something for the party. Sometimes even colored hairsprays can linger in the hair when it is so light and porous.

the wash in wash out will more than likely stay in because your hair cortex will absorb the colour in it because it the hair cuticle has been lifted from the bleach for your highlights

ok, right this is the authentic clarification why you need to not wash your hair earlier dyeing it. Washing your hair will make it dry. in case you placed shade on your hair after that, it is going to be excessively dry. organic oils out of your hair help the colour settle in.

Bad idea!
It will stick to your highlights and could turn them green or orange, depending on the direct dye in the temporary color. Don't do it, if you don't want your hairdresser to have to correct it.

it will be ok , but the colour will be dingy . get a golden or warm medium to dark blonde wash in wash out instead .
