personally, if you have doubts with the current bf and his maturity level, then get him out of your life before you date anyone else. While your bf may not cheat, he's not seeming to respect you or give you common consideration (calling when HE wants to...). If you want to be happy again, as you said, then you have to GO GET IT. Sitting back and waiting for happiness to come to you... it never happens, but you may find this new guy has more to offer, is more mature, and you click better than the current.

It sounds like you should end it with the current boyfriend as it sounds like he may be using you and you don't have the same goals and priorities in a relationship. Better to be free to find someone else that does that be tied down to a man that doesn't; you are eliminating your possibilities for future happiness. There is nothing lonelier than being tied to a relationship and feeling alone.

If you go out with the new guy without ending it with the boyfriend, people will lose respect for you (and you might possibly lose respect for yourself) for not being honest and straightforward.

It would be especially bad to start off a new relationship with a great guy that you might have more in common with that your current man, only have him dump you for being a "cheater" on your current relationship, even if it is not immediate. It would always be in the back of his mind if you could step out on a current boyfriend, you may step out on him.

I think you already know the answer. Dump the boyfriend and get out with the other guy. The fact that you say you want to be happy again shows you are not happy now. Go for it!!!
