I think it is more respectful to give them a quick interested glance and smile, nothing suggestive, just friendly. Gawking is awkward and gives off the impression that the guy is immature.

From personal experience no women do not like being gawked at! It makes you look like a perverted creep, but there are a few women who adore being gawked at because that's what they live for..seeing how many men they can toy with! If you find a woman simply irresistible to stare at make it short & polite w/ a nice smile at the end if she catches you because you might have her staring after that!

I don't like being gawked at but some girls do. I know that men are visual and sometimes they don't mean it in a bad way. It may not be the way to meet the girl of your dreams. But girls who wear tiny shirts and show lots of cleavage are asking to be gawked at.

Women like to be looked at, for the most part. It can make us feel a little better about ourselves to know that guys notice when we look good. But we do not appreciate being drooled over like a piece of meat. We know when you are undressing us with your eyes, so if you are going to look, then at least be respectful about it.

Honestly it does creep me out a bit. If a guy thinks I'm attractive enough to stare at, then he should come over and strike up a conversation, you know? The worst that can happen is that I'm not interested...but I'll think of the guy as sweet rather than "that pervy guy who stared at me." LOL

no, i hate the dumb look on a guys face when he stares at me without being able to think of something intelligent to say. if you're gonna check someone out at least make sure it is not obvious and then think of something that requires a higer degree of cognitive activity and be so kind to share that vivid thought with the girl. you might be surprised of the response. and it will sure get you more dates that simply staring (i'm sure in a very innocent manner)
;)

It depends on the girl. Some would find it uncomfortable others would enjoy it too a point. It is thus that you have to watch for sines of discomfort and act accordingly.

If you stare at them in a creepy way... But if you give a friendly smile when they look back at you, then it's not so bad... Just as long as you don't excessively stare. I mean, at least look a way a couple times.

Some do and some don't, and both are OK. Myself I don't, I grew up with 7 brothers and hate it when they get verbal as I'm walking by, its OK to look but when they start to slur those vulgar words I feel like walking over to them and plowing them in the mouth....=)
