me and my friend are debating about this. I think they have noses and he thinks they have nostrills not noses. and i told him you have to have a nose to have nostrills is this true?

a nose is simply an opening thru which a mammal breathes, some have nostrils, some do not, but all mammals have noses.

What about birds?
They have nostrils... I think that is the term...
Check out ducks, those are pretty visible.
And I think monkeys have both nostrils and noses.
