I am not saying that joining is mandatory. Admit it though, the Force is cooler than all other religions combined.

There is no forcing(no pun intended) of beliefs, just like-minded people who prefer to get along instead of judging others for no other reason than it is "wrong."

It would never work. History has shown if you force a people to YOUR beliefs eventually they will rebel. The best thing to do is let people have there beliefs but no one belief should be considered the right or only one. Tolerance's for other thoughts need to be taught.
