Ignorance is bliss. It is easier to turn an eye blind than to think. It burns too many brain cells for them to figure out and think. I cannot believe in a God who wants to be praised all the time.

How is it that you believe that "acting blindly" in the face of "logic and truth" is something that is exclusive to Christians?
We ALL have bias's and pre-conveived notions that cause us to respond similarly.
It's 'the people' and NOT the philosophy, religion or ideology that causes this to happen.
I know for a fact that you and everyone else here can be triggered in the same fashion. All it would take is sometime to find a topic (a personal 'sacred cow' or 'precious icon') that would do the same thing to you. It might be politics, or abortion, immigration, stem cell research, global warming. Hint: Notice how popular all of these topics are? This should give you a clue as to why. ;-)
And almost all of us act this way especially when we are confronted with challenges to our "foundation beliefs" as it relates to ANY topic.
What you should be asking is how is it that you learn, or acquire the tools and skills to remain open, and consider all extreme possibilities, and then be able to apply a process to discern what is being told you is the truth or not...
...all in hopes of NOT responding the way that you report seeing Christians respond...
If you (or anyone else) believes differently, then you are under as much illusion as the very people (Christian's) you speak of (or criticize).
Regards,

If by "logic and truth" you mean the Bible, then yes it is staring me in the face. Why do non-believers 'act' blind when just because they don't understand they choose to mock? What evidence do you have that Christianity is subsiding? And for the record, God will never fail. His people might, but he is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

We've seen the light, and are out of the Satan's World system into the Kingdom of Light. Pride in the UK culture maybe leading people astray, leading them to adopt all sorts of illogical religious and philosophical beliefs, but this is what happens when pride grows.
The ones who fall away, are the ones who fall away - lose what is precious.
I hope you will come one day to see things differently, and receive real and lasting blessings. At least you are not idol-worshipping at the altar of Scottish nationalism - well done.

A great "falling away" of lukewarm Christians and those who are believers in name only was foreseen in the Bible:
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.
God's not failing His flock. . .the shallow and uncommitted are failing Him. The rest of us will stand firm in our faith.

i dont know what planet your from but Christianity is stronger that ever. And God doesnt fail us, we fail God, if we were to practice Christs teachings, not only the ones we want to, but really practice what he preached Christianity would be even stronger. Nothing can separate us from the love of God, this is a promise from God, but like i said we can separate ourselves from that love as you have. I dont know what logic and truth you mean so i cant comment on that.

Greetings,
Obviously you are not a true believer of God or His word or you would know that no matter what happens in this world He is in control of it even you. God is in control of all things that happen in this world and by His will does He allow good or bad things to happen if it will work for His glory. When He decides to do something or allow it to be done then will you know that He is present with us 24/7. To think or believe otherwise is only condemning yourself to eternal judgement in the lake of fire. So YOU need to get a grip and accept His son and follow God's commandments before it is too late for you.

blind?? read the part in verse 3 that says there will be a falling away.. That means christians leaving the right path. It is happening now and maybe you just don't know what that means.. God never fails or makes a mistake.. The Romans butchered them and the Roman soldiers converted when they saw the reality of Christianity.. Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Wrong, were did you get your information? from the bias mainstream fabricated media?
Ha ha, very funny, thousands are being saved every day, but you won't hear that on the news, oh no, you won't hear that.
Of course not.
You need to wake up and smell the coffee my friend.
Christinity is not failing, not by any stretch of the imagination.
You have been brainwashed by psuedo secular humanist thinking.
