The reason I do it is just to share. I mean a joke isn't really a question, so by that logic, there is no reason to answer right? But, if you were sitting around with your friends and one tells a joke, most of the time, it leads to another joke. All the people I answer like getting more jokes....what's the worst that happens---they laugh? I don't believe it's rude- no one has complained so far.

I agree.. it is a little rude its kinda like saying your joke sucked so heres mine.. and its SOOO ANNYOING!

Thats mostly a retorical question. I fyou think the joke sucks then you answer it with something that you think is funny. Example.
Why did the sheets cover the bed?
Why did your mom come over last night...
