ok so heres what im gonna be running 2 Rockford Fosgate T112D4 Power 4 Oohm 12" Sub 1200W and T10001bd 1000 Watt Class-bd Mono Amplifier. Ive done my own amp and sub installs but this was years ago and since i've looked into this again im confused. Since this is a mono amp and im hooking up 2 subs how do i go about this cause after doing some reading ive confused myself.

The T112D4 is a dual voice coil sub, and the T1001BD is a 1-ohm stable amplifier. The answers above assume you have 4-ohm SVC subs, which is not the case; but the answers are correct anyway. You'll want to wire the two speakers in parallel. Effectively this means that all positive terminals are connected to the amp's positive output, and all negative terminals are connected to the amp's negative speaker output. The final impedance is 1 ohm, which your amp is rated for.

You can do this any way that's convenient, but generally the easiest is do this for each sub:

Run a wire from one positive terminal to the other positive terminal on the subwoofer. Do the same for the negative terminals. Then run another wire from either of the positive terminals to the positive terminal on the box, and do the same for the negative.

Connect the positive and negative speaker outputs on the amp to the matching positive and negative terminals on the box. If your amp has two sets of speaker outputs, use one set for each sub; if it has only one set of outputs, connect both subs to the same output.

Since your amp is mono (1 channel), you'll have to connect the subs in parallel which will reduce the impedance to 2 ohms, in result more power. Before installing it, make sure your amp is stable @ 2ohms, otherwise the amp will malfunction.

Since you're pretty familiar, just bridge the speakers in the box...save you the trouble of running two wires...

To get a 2 ohm load from two 4 ohm SVC subs, you'd wire them like so http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j230/sparky3489/PARALLEL.jpg

To get a 1 ohm load form two 4 ohm DVCs, wire the subs like so http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j230/sparky3489/DUAL-PARALLEL.jpg
