If you had an agreement with her to store your belongings, on her property, during your time at the rehab then she had no legal right to give your things away. However, if she gave you notice and time to take the belongings elsewhere then she is well within her legal right. If the agreement was between your boyfriend and his mother then he would need to speak on your behalf.

I don't know how much you can get from her, especially if you no longer have receipts but a judge will more than likely try to figure out a fair estimate. Also, if you have anything in writing (especially from your boyfriend's mother) that states your belongings were at her home then provide that in court.....otherwise she could say that your belongings were never there or she never agreed to hold onto them for you.

If you had no arrangement with her, I doubt you can file any charges. Did you have any arrangements with your boyfriend? If so, he is the one who was responsible for your things. Likewise, if he had an arrangement with his mother, then he could hold her responsible. Why were your things being stored? Couldn't they stay where you live?

There's nothing you can do. The stuff was in her house, and she can do with it as she sees fit. You should've put it in storage. Better yet, your boyfriend should've done something about it, and not let her give it away.
