The question was suppose to be hiim as an starter as of 2 wks ago he was 121-1 as a starter leading after the 8th inning, I am wanting to know what was the one loss???

No, he isn't. He had six losses during his stint as a closer. Those all came after the 8th.

that is amazing stat! he is very tough in late innings! and it is nice to see an athlete stay with one!! team his whole career! smoltz is class act! even though i am not! brave fan! he goes to hall of fame one day!
