Personally I think its foolish and a waste of time. Who really cares or bother to know if 'someone' renounced one's faith. Its just like 'dying' away... renouncing one's values and beliefs will never make another person any better.
The thing that people needs to realize is that... what matters most is life. Nobody gives a damn if they're dead... so it goes for renouncing one's faith/religion.

if you renounce it, it's not your religion.
people expose religion's flaws here because of the large audience and the amount of religious people expressing their archaic views.
