Through out the history and bible God had many name. the one i like is Jesus, because he is so close to me. God took two steps. Fist, He became flesh, born as a man called Jesus. After living a perfect and sinless life and dying on the cross to redeem sinful man, He rose from the dead and in resurrection changed His form from the flesh to the Spirit. Hence, the Lord Jesus became the Spirit. This spirit is called the life giving spirit. A crucial verse in the bible tell us that the last Adam (Christ ) became a life-giving Spirit(1Cor 15:45) god the Father is unapproachable. Although He came in the Son to dwell as man among men, God the Son was still not able to enter into man because he was in the form of a man with flesh and blood. By the Son’s death and resurrection, his form was changed from a physical one into a spiritual one. As the Spirit, that is, as the spiritual air that we can breathe in, Christ was able to enter into His disciples. Thus the entire Triune God- the Father, The son, and the spirit reaches man. In other word, when the Triune God reaches his Redeemed people, He is the Spirit

God's name is Jehovah. If you have a King James Bible, look at Exodus 6:3, Psalms 83:18 and a couple other places. It's also in the Living Bible at Exodus 3:15, Exodus 5:2, Exodus 6:3 and other places. His name was taken out of most of the bible by superstitious copyists early in the 2nd and 3rd centuries because they thought the divine name was too sacred to be said by mere humans. How would you like it if people only referred to you by a title and not your personal name? Jehovah God also created the universe. Look at a New World Translation of the bible and you'll see that God's name has been restored to its rightful place over 7,000 times as it was in the original scriptures.

If you believe in God, you should do some research on those you would call God. Mohammad was a murdering polygamist. Buddha was a lazy person who laughed and ate his way to divinity. And cows certainly aren't God.
As for the Name of God, The only name for anyone who could ever be God, and the only true name ever in the Bible was Jesus. All the others where titles. God said,"I am that I am ",and that is enough. Jesus said, "I am."
It is written, " I will write on them a new name", JESUS.
It is written, " No other name given under heaven where by you must be saved", JESUS
It is written, " He will save the people from their sins", JESUS.
It is written, " By Him, through Him and for Him were all things made that were made", JESUS
Jesus said," I come in my Fathers name", " I've keep them which thou( Father) gave me in thine own name." JESUS
It is also written, " Many false prophets will come , some claiming to be God himself, take heed that you don't believe them and are damned."
Last advice, If you believe in God, don't believe what people say, ask Him to reveal Himself to you personally and do so with a pure heart. Then do some research on the attributes of a true God.
God is Love, God is Jesus, what a great God Jehovah and Jesus is his name; Creator, Master and Savior of the Universe !! " If you believe in God, beleive also in me."

There is no Jehovah, that name was given to God(Yahweh, creator of the universe) by Jehovahs Witnesses and its a mistake in interpretation that their so called scholars made. If you dont believe me ask them . And the reason we say God today is because the writers of the bible or the ancients believed that they were not worthy to say Gods true name Yahweh.

God has many names in the Holy Bible. He is the Creator of everything in both the spiritual and physical domains. He is a Trinity: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He always was and always will be. He is referred to as 'I Am', 'The Ancient of Days', the 'Almighty', 'Yaweh', etc. He is not allah, baal, zeus, or any other false god. No one can escape Him. He is perfect, True, Holy, and Righteous. And, from our perspective, He also loves us. He made us in His image. His only Son died to pay our price for sin in order to re-establish fellowship with God the Father. THe Holy Spirit indwells believers, giving spiritual gifts, ministering to us, presenting our needs before God the Father, and transforms us ever more into a Christ-like servant of God.
This God is my God, and He is also patient, kind, and longsuffering. This is the God I mean.

I mean both. Im in the middle of trying to get rid of the jehovah thing as it suggests there is someone talking to me which has become quite obvious that nobody is talking to me. I am slowly realising its just the creator of the universe. The energy and not some supreme man or woman or sexless person.
After all thats snobery among the creatures of this earth. Like saying god cant talk to insects as they dont understand speech.
God is just an energy that is interpreted in the way the subject can understand. Dogs interpret and convey the messages they get in barks, humans in speech, there is no bark or speech its just our way of remembering it.

Both, although "Yahweh" might be closer to the original pronunciation than "Jehovah" is. Yahweh = Creator (and Master :oP )of the Universe
