find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Hey! Im 15 years old and i used to weigh 151, now i weigh 123. I just started bumpin the music for like about an hour and dancing. I would do crazy moves, and even dance to techno....which is reall good because it helps you move!!! I also did this thing called the "master clense" and i had to drink salt water and this special lemonade for 11 days, i lost 10 pounds!!! I also would go for a run, or if thats boring i would power walk and call somebody up and talk to them...that really made time go by! At night before i would go to bed i would do 20 reps of 10 sit ups and 10 pushups. Like twice a week i go play basketball with my friends, and instead of taking the elevator and stuff i would take the stairs. I also would just go walking around places with my friends, like we would walk to the store or walk around the mall, ya kno...make it fun! I know it sounds hella hard, but i really think you can do it! get at me!

Sorry to say, but your doctor will not recommened anything like lipo, since you are only 16.
It's really hard...but the best way to lose weight and keep it off is to change your lifestyle completely and forever. Diets only work for a little while, because you lose focus and motivation. Best thing to do is change the way you eat and get at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. Eat only foods low in fat, low in sugar, low sodium and low carb. Plus, lots of fruits and veggies.

Find someone else to workout with. If two people try it together and push each other it seems to work. You feel like your letting someone else down if you stop. It's a lot easier to give up on yourself than to give up on someone else. Thats what I have been doing and we have stuck to it for over 4 months now. Ive never had this much drive. It took a while, but we have started to see results and that drives us even more. Currently we try to eat better foods and less of them. We workout at least 3 days a week and sometimes I do some kickboxing video workouts on in between days.

I'm not saying this to be mean. go to the biggest loser web site. i really enjoyed that show because it showed America that its very possible to lose weight with out drugs or surgery. all it really takes is a change of lifestyle. Fad diets are B.S. (south beach, grapefruit, etc.) Don't buy into the marketing hype and don't look to quick fix answers. you didn't get to be 290 overnight so don't think losing it should happen overnight either. if you want to lose weight and do it in a healthy way you can, but it comes down to you. and no one else. stay focused and try to educate yourself. And remember if someone is trying to sell you a product its more than likely non-sense, save your money.

Watch your sugar and sodium intake. Sodium adds weight to your stomach due to bloating. Drink plenty of water. Eat 1/2 grapefruit a day or take the tablets for quick weight loss. Also adding cinnamon a day will decrease the weight to your waistline and increase your metabolism.
I read the book thin commandments and it really helped me. This book is great for permanent weight loss. I can email you the 10-day Turbo diet and after you are done with that I can email you plan B. Also the food journal to print out and keep on your fridge to make sure you keep up with what you eat. Keeping a food journal is key to successful weight loss.
Also pop in a CD into your walkman and take a brisk walk for at least 30 mns a day. Jump rope at least twice a week also.

16 stone is 224 pounds. Hey bro, i'm 16 too and 12 stone. I'll take 2 of your stone if you like. Then'll we'll both be 14 stone :D. I'm 6ft 3 though so I'm quite slim. Just excercise, its what everyones going to tell you or to diet and in the end thats no help is it. What you really need to do is want it... you need the drive and mental pysch to keep it going. Otherwise you'll just get bored and quit! I'm no quiter... ive been working out to gain weight... although i havn't put on much weight theres not an ounce of fat on me... good luck mate
