I don't think very many people are "anti-God", so much as they are "anti-organized-religion." I, for example, have no problem with the idea of God... but I do have a problem with wars being fought on behalf of an invisible old dude in the clouds somehwere. I also have a problem with those who try to push their beliefs on others, and those who hate and discrimate against epople who do not agree with them about religion or lifestyle.

More blood has been shed due to religion than any other reason.

I think those you call anti-god may be the ones that are pro-education. If it was kept out of the classroom,I have no problem. I cannot understand why if believers are so fervent to put their beliefs in the classroom, where is all this ferver going AFTER school hours. Until they bring their children to a place of worship on every chance, that means when the game is on,they are tired, feeling sick, etc. I will believe the wish to put it in schools is insecere and just an attempt to force their beliefs on me

Many people aren't really "anti-god", just unhappy with the way they've been treated by those who call themselves "pro-god".
Just being treated with less contempt probably wouldn't convince someone to start believing. But, being treated with respect would at least give them a reason to stop and listen.

I'm not sure exactly, I cant say I'm the most religious person in the world but I did grow up in the church of God, and I have seen many miracles that the doctors couldn't explain. I know that God makes good things happen. On the other hand I have heard some anti-god people say that God is the reason everything bad happens in their life, that they believe that prayer is useless... but its kind of funny in a way b/c some of those who claim God isn't real and all that are the 1st ones 2 ask God 2 save their life when the plane is crashing n they know that their chances of survival are slim.

I love how these idiots say there's no God, how the hell do they think the world was originally created and how the 1st people on earth came about? Let me guess they just magically appeared? Sprinkle Sprinkle Tinkerbell Magic? lol yea thats it!

I am not anti-God, any more than I am anti-dragons, anti-unicorn or anti-Zeus.

If you want to believe in your sky-fairy du-jour, then go right ahead.

What does hack me off is when people give money to a man who claims to represent some deity, especially if it is money they can not afford to give.

What does hack me off is when people try to tell me or my friends and family how they should live their lives because of the words that claim to have been written under guidance from some deity 4000 years ago.

What does hack me off is when people attribute the good in their life to some deity, but bad things to luck (or the deity's evil alter-ego.)

What does hack me off is when people put their problems in the hands of God (i.e. luck) rather than actually take action to control their lives.

Most people who are considered "anti-god" actually don't believe in god at all, so we can't be "anti-god". It's a small distinction to some maybe, but it is pretty important to get a grasp on to empathize with a different view point.

I don't know anyone who is "anti-God".

Many of us here are aware that there is no god, but that's a whole 'nother thing. We're mostly anti-believer, and given that the first three believers who responded to your question all told the same lie about atheists, it should be pretty obvious why. Believers really don't seem to have any morals, and we find that disturbing.

I am not so much anti-god but I hate the way some christians try cram it down people's throats. I also don't like the fact some religious zealots in Washington DC use and invoke his name to justify their wacky ideas. He doesn't exist and is nothing more than a fable. I personally don't think he has any business on our currency as well.

Becuase the people that believe such things are of no use to the furthering of knowledge, and prefer to keep the status quo, ...as it was 2000 yrs ago...!!!

The idea itself isn't offensive, neither is the concept of the Loch Ness Monster, but it's the people who presume to have supreme knowledge and the right to judge others based on such a fanciful tale that give everyone the sh!ts..!!

Is that clear enough for ya..?
