take 3 cups and a ball (thats to big for their mouth of course) and put it under one cup and let him/her find which one it is.

even a towl over their heads and say '' wheres *name*'' i cant find you and when they pull it off say ''there you are''

even putting random objects in a bucket or coffee can kept my daughter busy. you can just ask ''can you help me put this away. she should probably mock you. my daughter is 18 months and likes to shovel rocks into buckets and everything else ranging from sticks and cans into them. i call it her stew. haha

play the little piggy went to market!

get to her level and pretend to chase her and stuff.

Peek-a-boo and hide the toy are great. Also picking up small things (like cheerios), and drop and pick up. (the child drops a toy, and the adult picks it up). Just about anything you do can be a game to a 9 month old. Practice walking or jumping, if he is strong enough.

It's not like you can go utside and play b ball or something huh. It's tough. I know. The best thing to do is watch them see what they try to grab then you see what they like. You can always play peek-a-boo!

Peek-a-boo and use an office chair to spin the kid.
