Ive just got back from Newcastle (Im from Chester) and couldent believe how polite and friendly you all are. I suppose its a northern thing. I only had 2 days and didnt go out in the evening. Im planning another trip there as i loved it so much so can anyone reccomend any decent clubs/pubs/bars and any decent places to stay!

Thanks again for being such a great bunch of people!

Hello, pleased you liked Newcastle; me too. I have lived here 10 years, came to uni here and couldn't drag myself away. Newcastle has so much to offer for a night out as well as things to do through the day, museums, galleries, shopping, cafes and restaurents.

If you like the art scene I would recommend a visit to the quayside and the Biscuit factory art gallery in Shieldfield, walkable from City Centre. They have a nice cafe for lunch, or in town I would recommend Paradiso for lunch and Popolos the continental style bar down stairs; both on Pilgrim St. Next door is Secco bar and cafe, both great too.

Pub and bar wise it really depends what your after, newcastle caters for so many tastes. Personally I prefer around by Central Station or the Ouseburn valley for a night out, but the Ouseburn is probs too far out of the city. North bar, Centrion, Coco Vs, Revolution, Tokyo and Hoko 10 all close to the station are good bars and as I already mentioned, Popolos and Secco on Pilgrim street are my faves. The Gate and Tiger Tiger on Newgate Street may be worth a visit, personally I would avoid the Bigg Market.

Jesmond has a few good bars (lots of students though) and reasonable hotels and is just 10 minutes metro ride from city centre or walkable if with friends in 15 mins to avoid city centre hotel premiums. Having said that the Travel Lodge on the quayside do really good deals, £70 or less for double room per night if you book in advance. The website below has links to all you could need, accommodation, bars, culture etc

Have a fantatsic time when you return.

I'm originally from Newcastle, there are lots and lots of clubs in Newcastle, for example:
for "club" music: BluBambu on the Bigg Market, Mood in the Gate, Tiger Tiger just next to the Gate.
Pubs: I personally love Goose and Crows Nest. Oh and don't forger Players and Lloyds.
There are plenty more night spots, take a quick look around town and you're not far away from a club!

well why dont you head down to whitley bay pet, there is plenty of nightlife and places to stay its on the coast so your near the beach,
you should checkout crusoes at tynemouth ,which is on the seafront a nice resteraunt.
you could also try the quayside ,just ask, its not far from the central station(railway station)
