The Churches need to remember that the separation of church and state must/should be followed. Theses churches see profit in this and that's why they are backing this ill conceived program for amnesty for illegal aliens.
Religion needs to keep its pious nose out of government affairs and its greedy hands out of my pockets.

Below is part of the federal law please read it

Private persons and entities may initiate civil suits to obtain injunctions and treble damages against enterprises that conspire or actually violate federal alien smuggling, "harboring", or document fraud statutes under the Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).32 The “pattern of racketeering” activity is defined as commission of two or more of the listed crimes. A RICO “enterprise” can be any individual legal entity, or a group of individuals who are not a legal entity but are associated in fact, and can include non-profit associations.
Churches are non-profit associations.

Harboring , aiding and abetting illegal aliens is a Federal crime .

Don't you watch TV and listen to the news? Hugo Chavez -- Venezuela's President promised money at a church in New York City. Also, remember that it's easy to start a church and not be a true part of a synod. Many of these store front churches are nothing more than tax shills. Because the USA has freedom of religion and recognizes the sanctuary of the church, the ability to use the church as a launch point for invasion and criminal activities is magnified. When people have no true scrupples or morals and don't mind violating our laws, they certainly aren't going to follow God's laws either. The polls claim that most of the parishioners don't agree with thier church leaders on the immigration issue. It's time to throw the money changers out of the temples again and realize that terrorists will use any venue they can to gain their foothold and take over the country. They will also use illegal immigrants (who might otherwise be good people) to get what they want. They have no morals, ethics, or scrupples and will use every loophole in the law to get what they want. With the fact that our laws are not enforced as an additional weapon in their arsenal, the eventual takeover will be easy for them. What they haven't counted on is that the USA is made up of loyal, law-abiding citizens who will not give up their country without a fight. All they have to do is realize that the country is being invaded and they'll fight. That realization is occurring and is causing the USA to be on the verge of a civil war. We are in the battle of our lives for the soverignty of our country. When the Separation of Church and state is violated, then we are adding another front to the war because each church will begin demanding that their religion be the only religion. It's time to wake up American Citizens and ensure that we don't have the blood bath that seems inevitable at this point. Let's get our laws enforced and get the illegal immigration problem under control.

First of all the Catholic Church does not condone amnesty of illegals, but the priest of a church may do as he sees fit as far as making his church a sanctuary, it does not mean he is supported by the Church as a whole or his parishioners.

I think they should be taxed for their willingness to aid people in committing crimes. The facts stand that because of our current unwillingness to enforce laws there are terrorist groups that are ILLEGAL ALIENS. They are wanting to kill people in the USA...is this the better life that they are wanting?

The money is coming from parishioners...if they don't agree with the leaders then that is too bad. They will tell you some line that God wants them to do this...but God also wants you to obey the laws of the land...something that the Catholic church tends to forget.

These churches are going against God's word. God wants us to follow the rules of the land. It is in the Bible.

I can tell you if my Church ever did this I would leave and find a new church.

Lets wait and see how much amnesty they want to grant when the illegal aliens(terrorist) set a bomb off in their church and blow their asses all the way to hell

It sounds a lot like old fashioned "sanctuary" doesn't it. It upsets me to think that my church would be a party to that and I would have to at the very least stop tithing but would probably move to a different Church.

Actually, the Roman Catholic leadership is going against the basic instruction for Catechism and the will of practicing Roman Catholics.

Kind of like people assuming that all Hispanics are for amnesty when they are not.

Mainly because these perishoners especially catholics know most mexicans and hispanics are deeply religous. They tend to attend church every sunday and consider religon the center of their beliefs. Just look at how powerful the church is in Latin America.

I think any church that provides sanctuary to illegals should lose their tax exempt status. Same goes for sanctuary cities. They should lose their matching federal dollars. Do those 2 things and we won't have to deport illegals. They'll leave on their own.
